Heat and use
Fixed versus adjustable hair straightener heat
Preset and adjustable are different requirements
A preset iron is designed around one stated heat target. An adjustable model lets the user choose among documented settings or a documented temperature range. If user control is important for your routine, verify that the exact version has it instead of relying on marketing language such as “smart,” “salon” or “safe.”
Read the claim carefully
Temperature figures and “optimal” claims are manufacturer statements unless independently measured. A published setting does not prove that every plate surface measures exactly that temperature, that the tool maintains it evenly, or that it is right for every user. This guide does not test temperatures or offer medical or hair-care advice.
When fixed heat is a mismatch
If your decision depends on selecting lower or higher heat, a model whose page documents only a preset should not pass that essential filter. If fixed heat is acceptable, compare the stated target and follow the exact manual. Do not infer selectable settings from another generation or finish.
The ghd Original 1-inch black SKU 580 is listed with single-zone ceramic heating preset to 365°F. Its product page does not document a user adjustment control. That distinction is included in the finder; it is not a judgment that 365°F is suitable for a particular person.
Cycle 68 T3 fixed-heat addition: the SinglePass Compact 77500 page specifies one fixed 410°F target, so it meets the “single preset acceptable” choice, not essential adjustable heat. The same product page conflicts on 0.8-inch versus 1-inch plate width; its width stays unknown and out of every numeric width set. Cycle 62 Conair fixed-heat check: none of CS1000, CS1001 or CS1002 is a single-preset iron. The exact CS1000/CS1001 manuals list five selectable targets (300, 340, 375, 410 and 455°F); CS1002’s exact product page confirms five heat settings and a 455°F maximum but not its lower values. These are manufacturer specifications, not temperature advice. Compare the CS1000, CS1001 and CS1002 assessments · Keep the single-preset-acceptable answer in the finder →
Cycle 55 fixed-heat answer: 37 of 136 reviewed configurations meet this option. The newly reviewed CA1087F lists one 383°F preset, while the one-inch CA2013 lists one 392°F preset. These are distinct fixed-target models, not the selectable preset menus of the Titanium XL or CA7558. The stated values are product specifications, not personal temperature advice. Find all configurations with the same fixed-preset-acceptable answer →
Cycle 54 fixed-heat answer: 35 of 130 reviewed configurations meet this option; none of the three newly reviewed CHI irons does. CA1174 has an adjustable dial, GF0101 offers selectable presets, and the CA2222 page describes three surface modes but does not establish a single fixed temperature or user-adjustable temperature. A printed 160–425°F span is not proof of a fixed setting. Find configurations using the same fixed-heat answer →
Cycle 53 fixed-heat result: 35 of 127 reviewed configurations qualify; none of the four newly reviewed CHI irons belongs in that set. GF1595A and GF7057A offer selectable digital presets; CA1010 and CA2205 list adjustable dials. Selectable settings are not a single manufacturer-set target. Find every configuration under the same fixed-target-acceptable answer →
Cycle 52 fixed-heat count: 35 of 123 reviewed configurations qualify; the new GFDB12 is not among them because CHI explicitly describes its heat settings as adjustable. Its listed 180–450°F span does not turn it into a one-temperature preset. Read the GFDB12 assessment · Keep the single-preset-acceptable answer selected →
Cycle 51: 35 of 122 reviewed configurations qualify for fixed heat. The CHI Original GF1001 adds a one-inch, corded option with a single listed 392°F preset; its exact-model manual describes an on/off standby switch, not user temperature selection. CHI’s current page says dual voltage, and the manual text lists 110–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Find all configurations under the same fixed-heat answer →
Cycle 49: 34 of 116 reviewed configurations qualify for fixed heat. CHI LAVA GF8269 is a one-inch analog iron with one manufacturer-listed 395°F preset; the adjustable GF8215 and GF8281 do not belong in this set. This classification comes from the exact model page and GF8269 manual, not from the word “analog” alone. Read the GF8269 review · Find all configurations with the same fixed-heat answer →
Cycle 48 control classification: the fixed and adjustable result sets remain 33 and 74 of 113 reviewed configurations; the exact GF0097, CA8578 and CA8595A pages list 340–410°F bounds but no user-selectable control or one fixed target, so these models match neither heat choice. Do not treat published minimum and maximum figures alone as proof of adjustment or a single preset. Check the separate White GF0097, Red CA8578 and Gunmetal CA8595A records · Keep a fixed target acceptable in the finder →
Cycle 44: 33 of 105 reviewed product assessments document fixed-temperature plans. CHI LAVA AirGlide does not join this set: the linked family guide documents selectable settings for Pearl GF8824, Blue GF8826, Mocha GF8827, Black GF8828, Gunmetal CA8594A and Ruby Red GF9025. The standard-finish product pages and guide disagree on the maximum for five variants, but the control mode remains adjustable rather than fixed. Cycle 38: 33 of 103 reviewed configurations document a fixed-temperature plan; the three new Remington heated straightening brushes and AS9550NA's dryer-brush plan are adjustable, not fixed-only models. CB7403 and CB5750NA each have three choices at 300°F, 375°F and 450°F; CB9350US has 300°F, 365°F PRO+ and 450°F. AS9550NA has two heat/speed levels plus cool air, with no numeric temperatures stated. The fixed-heat finder therefore excludes all four. These are manufacturer settings, not personal temperature recommendations. Cycle 36: 33 of 95 reviewed configurations document a fixed target; S1303 is one such plan, while S5523NA-VN and S5525P-VN are adjustable rather than fixed-heat options. Their separately linked guides confirm plus/minus controls; temperature claims are not personal recommendations. Twenty-four of the 39 currently reviewed configurations document one manufacturer-set target in at least one operating plan. The black Mini SKU 662 lists a 365°F Dual-zone preset. The white Unplugged SKU 553 adds a 365°F preset on a 0.88-inch cordless tool; its page gives up to 20 minutes per charge, but its 100–240 V input refers to charging only. It cannot be used while charging, and the short maker-stated runtime is not an independent endurance test. The black and white Duet Style editions qualify only through separate dry-hair Shine Shot mode, which stops airflow and uses a stated 365°F target; their towel-dried Air-fusion plans use low-temperature plates and airflow without a numeric target. Those are different routines, not a dial. The black SKU 612 and white SKU 613 reviews explain the mode boundary. The Chronos Max SKU 742 bundle has its fixed target with a spray and paddle brush. The black Chronos SKU 691 bundle adds Bodyguard spray and a paddle brush to a fixed-target one-inch iron; Cherry Chic set SKU 720 pairs a separate Helios dryer with another fixed-target Chronos. Three Sculpt configurations, including the black festive gift set SKU 794 and the standalone black SKU 777 and white SKU 778, describe automatic Heat-Adapt behavior without a numeric target or documented user control; none is classified as fixed or adjustable. The six newly reviewed BaBylissPRO configurations—BNT130T, BNT131T, BNT134T, BNT4074TUC, BNTMB4095TUC and Iced Blue BNT131TLB—are not in the fixed set: their shared manual lists 265°F, 300°F, 355°F, 390°F and 450°F. The Prima3000 BNT3000TUC-N, Hot Pink BNT3000THP and Prima3100 BNT3100TUC also document selectable heat, so those exact pages do not place them in the fixed set; the Prima product pages state a 465°F maximum. The standalone Original, Gold and Platinum+ bundle extras do not alter their included irons' fixed targets. A single preset temperature is acceptable for a tool only when you are comfortable with that fixed operating target; it is not a personal heat recommendation.

Cycle 19 adds one package that matches this fixed-heat choice through a specific included tool, not through every iron in its box. The BNTPP93 set includes a ¾-inch BNT137 mini with a single heat setting up to 430°F; its separate one-inch BNT130T iron is adjustable. Treat the plan you intend to use as decisive and review both inclusions before buying. Twenty-five of the 44 reviewed product configurations now have at least one documented fixed-target straightener plan. Keep the fixed-heat choice unchanged in the finder →
Cycle 20 update: 27 of 48 reviewed configurations match a documented fixed-heat plan; BNTBRB2000UC lists one 420°F setting and BNTBG3050UC documents on/off control with a 430°F maximum, while neither offers a documented user-selected temperature. The figures are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements or recommendations. The iridescent BNTBRB2000UC and BNTBG3050UC mini add different fixed profiles; the BNTBRB page leaves power mode unknown, while BNTBG's manual identifies a corded dual-voltage plan. Keep the fixed-heat choice unchanged in the finder →
Cycle 21: 28 of 52 individually reviewed configurations match the fixed-heat option; the BNT2000UC adds one exact 420°F target on a ¾-inch corded, dual-voltage mini. Its exact code and manual distinguish it from the similarly named iridescent BNTBRB2000UC, whose power and voltage remain unknown. The BNT2000UC setting is not adjustable and is not a heat recommendation; its manual also says to turn it off and unplug it when not in use. Read the BNT2000UC assessment. Cycle 22: 28 of 55 individually reviewed configurations match fixed heat; none of this cycle’s three additions qualifies because each documents user-selectable settings. BNTPP99's evidence is for its one-inch TrueTension straightener, not the separate curling iron. The fixed-heat question remains about documented control type, not a personal temperature recommendation. Keep the fixed-heat answer unchanged in the finder →
Cycle 23: 28 of 58 individually reviewed configurations match fixed heat; none of this cycle’s three additions qualifies because each documents user-selectable settings. The 1½-inch Prima BNT3300TUC lists five LED settings to 465°F; compact BNTC4072T lists 320°F, 360°F and 400°F; the 1½-inch Black & Blue Ultra-Thin BNTMB4073TUC lists 50 settings to 450°F. Manufacturer specifications are not measured temperatures or personal advice. Keep fixed heat selected in the finder →
Cycle 24: 28 of 62 reviewed configurations still document a fixed preset; none of this cycle’s four additions qualifies because each exact source documents selectable heat. BNT4070T lists 50 settings, BNT411T lists five without the full values, and standalone BNT4173T lists five specific temperatures; BNTPP100 contains that same exact BNT4173T iron plus a separate dryer. Cycle 26: 29 of 70 reviewed configurations document a single manufacturer-set target; the newly resolved BNT137 mini is the only one of this cycle’s four additions in that group. Its manual describes an on/off control and operation up to 430°F, not user-selected settings. It is a ¾-inch corded plan with documented 100–240 V input and a six-foot lead. The standalone BNT137 review distinguishes this offer from the bundled mini in BNTPP93. Find configurations that meet the same fixed-heat answer →
Cycle 28: 31 of 74 reviewed configurations document a fixed-target plan. Black ghd Unplugged SKU 552 adds a 0.88-inch cordless plan with a 365°F preset, while package BNTPK1RB qualifies through its separate ¾-inch BNTBRB2000UC mini at one 420°F target. Cycle 29: 31 of 78 reviewed configurations document a fixed-target plan. The four newly assessed Gift Sets packages each contain a straightener with selectable heat: BNTPP94's BNT411T has five settings, BNTPP95 and BNTPP80 name the 50-setting BNT4070T, and BNTPP81 contains BNT4090T with five manual-listed values. Their dryer and curling-iron components are separate, not alternative straightener heat modes. These are maker specifications, not measured temperatures or advice to use the maximum. Cycle 30: 32 of 81 individually reviewed configurations document a fixed-target plan; standalone BNT3050UC joins through its on/off control, not a user-selected temperature. Its shared exact-code manual identifies the half-inch iron's on/off switch, and the product page says up to 430°F; that maximum is not treated as a selectable target or a measured value. Cycle 36: 61 of 95 reviewed configurations document adjustable heat, including the wide S5523NA-VN and S5525P-VN plans. The S5523NA-VN page body and URL indicate 1.75 inches despite a conflicting 3/4-inch title; S5525P-VN's page conflicts between six settings at 310–410°F and a 450°F specifications field. Fourteen current models document selectable heat. Cycle 18 brings the reviewed set to 41 configurations; BNT4094TUC and Hot Pink BNT4172THP are the two additional exact models. Their five selectable settings are documented through different sources: the shared Ionic manual explicitly maps the 4094 code, while the Hot Pink exact page lists its settings but its linked manual does not match the suffix. Neither result establishes heat accuracy or a personal temperature recommendation. Find the full set with the original adjustable-heat choice →
A product with heat sensors or automatic power response is not necessarily adjustable by the person using it. Twenty-four of the 39 reviewed configurations document a fixed target in at least one operating plan. Twelve current models document selectable heat. The original group includes BNT130T, BNT131T, BNT134T, TrueTension BNTE100T, Ultra-Thin BNT4073TUC, Ionic BNT4091TUC and the three distinct Prima3000 / Hot Pink Prima3000 / Prima3100 editions. Three newly resolved exact pages add materially different evidence. The BNT4074TUC 2-inch Ultra-Thin is named by its linked manual, which documents 50 numbered settings organized into five bands from 240–450°F and a different dual-voltage profile from the two-inch Ultra-Sleek BNT134T. The BNTMB4095TUC Black & Blue digital page states adjustable control up to 450°F and saved-setting memory, but does not give the lower limit or button sequence; the nearby BNT4095TUC manual is not an exact code bridge. The Iced Blue BNT131TLB page lists five settings through 450°F, without an exact setpoint chart. Its suffix-specific voltage and manual remain unverified. BNT4073TUC's linked manual also names another code, while the BNT131T family instructions omit the TLB suffix; those details are not transferred. The Prima family manual likewise omits the -N and Hot Pink codes. Twelve current reviewed matches document essential user-adjustable heat: BNT130T, BNT131T, BNT134T, TrueTension BNTE100T, Ultra-Thin BNT4073TUC, Ionic BNT4091TUC, 2-inch Ultra-Thin BNT4074TUC, Black & Blue digital BNTMB4095TUC, Iced Blue BNT131TLB and the three Prima variants; their widths span 1, 1¼, 1½ and 2 inches, and evidence differs by exact code. A selectable setting does not establish its accuracy, a personal recommendation or a styling outcome; automatic Sculpt regulation and fixed ghd targets remain distinct.

Cycle 18 evidence update: the reviewed library now contains 41 configurations, of which fourteen document user-adjustable heat; this supersedes the earlier twelve-model count in the preceding snapshot. The newly assessed BNT4094TUC is a 1¾-inch Ionic model with five manual-listed values from 300°F through 450°F and no published cable length. The Hot Pink BNT4172THP exact page lists a one-inch plate, five digital settings to 450°F and a memory feature; the manual link/name mismatch means its exact setpoint chart and safety instructions remain unassigned. The fourteen-model count includes both new models and is not a performance ranking.
Seventeen reviewed product configurations, including three gift sets through separately documented iron plans, document user-adjustable heat. The three new BaBylissPRO packages represent different arrangements, not interchangeable irons: BNTPP79 has a 1-inch BNTC4072T iron with three selectable settings; BNTPP84 has adjustable full-size and compact 1-inch irons; and BNTPP93 has adjustable one-inch BNT130T plus a separate fixed-heat ¾-inch BNT137 mini. A package matches if one documented straightener plan meets the requested control; it does not claim every included tool has the same heat mode. These are maker-sourced control facts, not a personal setting recommendation. Find every current adjustable-heat match under the unchanged choice →
Cycle 20 update: 19 of 48 reviewed configurations match user-adjustable heat; BNT4171TUC lists five LED settings up to 450°F, and BNTPP98 qualifies through its separate 1¼-inch flat iron rather than its companion curling iron. Neither product page publishes every temperature increment. Review the exact half-inch BNT4171TUC and BNTPP98 package assessments; its curl barrel is not a second straightening plan. Cycle 21: 22 of 52 reviewed configurations match user-adjustable heat; BNT4172T lists five exact digital settings, BNT9091TXL lists seven through 465°F, and the BNT4093TUC manual lists five through 450°F. These are distinct width and voltage profiles, and maker settings are not independent plate measurements. The BNT4093TUC page/manual conflict about damp versus dry use remains unresolved and is not an endorsement of damp-hair use. Compare the BNT4172T, BNT9091TXL and BNT4093TUC sources. Cycle 22: 25 of 55 reviewed configurations match adjustable heat; the one-inch BNTPP99 TrueTension straightener, one-inch Black & Blue BNTMB4072TUC and 1¼-inch Black & Blue BNTMB3000TUC each document selectable heat. The package page gives five settings up to 465°F for the BNTPP99 straightener; the exact BNTMB4072TUC page lists 50 settings to 450°F; and the BNTMB3000TUC page lists five LED settings to 465°F. Cycle 23: 28 of 58 reviewed configurations match adjustable heat; the 1½-inch Prima BNT3300TUC, compact one-inch BNTC4072T and 1½-inch Black & Blue Ultra-Thin BNTMB4073TUC add three documented control profiles. The Prima page lists five LED settings to 465°F; the compact page names 320°F, 360°F and 400°F; and the Black & Blue Ultra-Thin page lists 50 settings to 450°F. The last two exact pages describe different same-width models: heated Prima stainless housing versus five-inch extended Ultra-Thin plates. Cycle 24: 32 of 62 reviewed configurations document user-adjustable heat; four new iron plans add different one-inch and 1½-inch control profiles. BNT4070T lists 50 settings to 450°F, BNT411T lists five, and BNT4173T lists 300/340/380/420/450°F; BNTPP100’s iron is that same BNT4173T code within a separate dryer package. Cycle 25: 36 of 66 reviewed configurations document user-adjustable heat; all four new profiles qualify, including the Hot Pink family-manual case and the 1-inch curved specialty iron. BNT9125TUC lists five exact temperature settings; BNT131THP uses a linked BNT131 family manual that names the base BNT131T, not the THP suffix; BNT4061UC is a specialty curved plate iron whose exact page expressly includes straightening; and BNTPP76 qualifies only through its included BNT4061UC. Its separate BNTW100XLUC is a curling iron, not another straightener plan. These are maker-stated controls, not independent temperature measurements or personal setting advice. Cycle 26: 39 of 70 reviewed configurations document user-adjustable heat, including three newly resolved models. The Porcelain Ceramic BP9557UC and BP9559UC have rheostat dials up to 450°F; their shared manual separates the one-inch and 1½-inch models, and each US configuration is 120 V only. The BNT4090T instead lists five selectable settings—300, 340, 375, 410 and 450°F—and 120–240 V input. Its travel adapter is not included, and its cord length is not published. Cycle 27: 41 of 72 reviewed configurations document adjustable heat; the two new one-inch models have different exact-source detail. The standard black BNT4095TUC manual names the exact SKU and describes plus/minus control, a 355°F startup default and a memory sequence up to the stated 450°F maximum. The separate BNT4072TUC has 50 listed settings to 450°F and five-inch extended plates. Cycle 29: 46 of 78 reviewed configurations document user-adjustable heat. All four new packages qualify through one exact straightener plan apiece: BNT411T in BNTPP94 (five settings to 450°F), BNT4070T in both BNTPP95 and BNTPP80 (50 settings to 450°F), and BNT4090T in BNTPP81 (five manual-listed settings from 300°F to 450°F). The separate dryer or curling iron is not combined with the flat iron. The two packages naming BNT4070T remain distinct package SKUs; the sources do not establish different straightener hardware. A narrow fixed mini cannot borrow the wider iron's adjustable control
At a 0.75-inch maximum with adjustable heat essential, only the 0.50-inch BNT4171TUC matches in this reviewed library; BNTPK1RB does not. Its Prima2000 mini is 0.75 inch but fixed at one 420°F target, while its adjustable Prima iron is one inch wide. A package does not combine the mini's width with the other iron's control. The BNT4171TUC assessment is a positive comparison; see the BNTPK1RB review for the excluded two-plan set.

Cycle 32 width-and-control check at 0.75 inch: S37A10 is an additional match because its 0.5-inch plate and adjustable heat coexist in the same corded plan. The one-inch S9350US and two-inch S5755NA-VN exceed this ceiling. This does not make S37A10 a fixed-heat option: its digital controls are adjustable despite the unresolved lower-limit wording. Review the S37A10 · Keep the 0.75-inch maximum and adjustable-heat requirement together →
A one-inch ceiling can coexist with a fixed target
A one-inch upper-width limit plus acceptance of fixed heat leaves 16 configurations: the 0.60-inch Mini, the 0.88-inch white Unplugged SKU 553 and fourteen one-inch ghd tools. The separately assessed Original SKU 694 and Gold SKU 692 brush-and-spray bundles, Chronos SKU 691 brush-and-spray bundle, Cherry Chic SKU 720 dryer set and Platinum+ SKU 693 set with a separate Helios are distinct packages around one-inch irons; their extras do not change the straightener target. Both standalone Sculpt finishes and the black SKU 794 set sit just over the 1-inch cap; their heat classifications remain unknown. The Duet plates are not numerically documented and cannot pass the width filter. The cap also excludes black Max at its specific 1.65-inch measurement and all five two-inch Chronos Max configurations. The Unplugged's universal-input charging rating does not make its cordless styling plan corded. The cap narrows a geometry choice; it does not make a preset more suitable for any individual.

Cycle 26: a one-inch maximum with fixed heat acceptable now matches 21 configurations. The Max enters at its detailed 1.65-inch width
Raising the maximum to 1.65 inches fits the black ghd Max SKU 535 at the specific 1.65-inch US FAQ dimension and adds the Mini, the 0.88-inch Unplugged SKU 553 and the 26 mm Sculpt widths geometrically. The Max and Unplugged remain fixed-heat; the Unplugged is cordless and its charger voltage is not a corded-styling mode. All three Sculpt configurations fit geometrically but are withheld from the fixed-heat combination because their heat settings are undocumented. The black Duet editions do not pass because plate width is unknown; their dry-only Shine Shot mode can match fixed heat only if width is left open. The standard black Chronos bundle SKU 691 and Cherry Chic SKU 720 set join the twelve one-inch fixed-target tools; neither bundle's accessories create a user temperature selector. A 1.65-inch cap and an acceptable fixed target together admit seventeen currently reviewed models: the Mini, Unplugged, black Max and fourteen one-inch configurations, but not the Sculpt editions or any of the five 2-inch Chronos Max configurations.

Width cannot compensate for a required temperature dial
A 1.65-inch limit includes one-, 1¼- and 1½-inch adjustable models but excludes two-inch plates. At a 1.65-inch maximum and essential adjustable heat, ten models match: BNT130T, TrueTension BNTE100T, BNT131T, Ultra-Thin BNT4073TUC, Ionic BNT4091TUC, one-inch digital BNTMB4095TUC, Iced Blue BNT131TLB and all three Prima variants; the two-inch BNT134T and BNT4074TUC remain above the width ceiling. The one-inch BNTMB4095TUC page documents adjustable digital heat to 450°F but not a precise lower setting or verified power mode. The exact Iced Blue BNT131TLB listing adds a 1.5-inch plate and five selectable settings to 450°F; no voltage is borrowed from BNT131T. The distinct BNT4074TUC is also adjustable but exceeds this 1.65-inch maximum; its linked manual groups 50 settings into five temperature bands. Exact width and operating evidence are model-specific. The adjustable-heat requirement excludes fixed-temperature ghd tools, and the three Sculpt configurations remain unclassified because automatic Heat-Adapt does not establish a numeric target or user selector.

Cycle 50 at a 2.0-inch width maximum with adjustable heat: GF1042 (1.25 inches), GF8300 and GF1187 (1.50 inches) fit the width and selectable-heat conditions on their separate plans. GF1042 offers five selectable presets rather than a documented continuous range. See GF1042, GF8300 and GF1187 · Keep the 2-inch cap and adjustable-heat answer together →
Cycle 49 width/heat addition: at either a one-inch or wider cap with adjustable heat, one-inch GF8215 and GF8281 satisfy both conditions; fixed-preset GF8269 does not. The GF8215 page specifies a 200–450°F range; GF8281’s exact page confirms an adjustable display but conflicts on its maximum (400°F text versus an image that appears to show 450°F). Cycle 48 width/heat interaction: all three CHI Ministyler pages list a 1.5-inch width, which fits a 2.0-inch cap, but do not identify a user-adjustable control; their heat classification remains unknown. Their printed 340–410°F bounds alone do not prove adjustment. Read GF0097, CA8578 and CA8595A · Keep the 2.0-inch maximum and adjustable heat together →
Cycle 47 width/heat boundary: GF8822's one-inch plate and multiple listed presets meet a one-inch maximum with adjustable heat; its conflicting maximum-temperature claims remain unresolved. At 1.65 inches the model remains within the inclusive width cap; this is a documented-feature comparison, not a result or heat recommendation. Cycle 46 width/heat boundary: GF0099 and GF0096 both document adjustable heat and fit a 2.0-inch ceiling; at 1.0 inch only GF0099 fits because GF0096 is 1.5 inches wide. Their exact pages each list an adjustable 200–450°F display. Cycle 46 width/control boundary: GF0099’s one-inch plate and GF0096’s 1.5-inch plate both meet an adjustable-heat requirement, but only GF0099 fits a 1.0-inch ceiling; both fit at 1.5 inches or wider. The exact pages document adjustable 200–450°F ranges; a 450°F maximum is not a personal setting recommendation. Cycle 44 width/heat interaction: all six AirGlide finish/SKU variants document selectable heat, but none has a documented plate width; adjustable heat cannot satisfy the combined condition when even the 2.0-inch cap cannot be compared. The overall product dimensions do not substitute for plate-width evidence. Compare the AirGlide assessment · Keep the two-inch cap and adjustable-heat requirement together →
Keep the width cap and heat control on the same iron
Cycle 37 at a 1.0-inch maximum with adjustable heat: 33 configurations match, including S5777NA and S16A11A; the 1.25-inch S33A10B-VN and width-unknown S9333US do not. The inclusive one-inch boundary admits the two one-inch plates; all three other fact decisions remain on the same straightening plan. Keep the one-inch cap and adjustable-heat condition together →
Cycle 37 at a 2.0-inch cap with adjustable heat: 64 configurations match, including S5777NA, S16A11A and S33A10B-VN; width-unknown S9333US remains excluded. The S33A plate is within the inclusive maximum; its separate barrel and the other models' curl features are not folded into the flat-iron measurement. Cycle 36 at a 2-inch cap with adjustable heat: S5523NA-VN and S5525P-VN both match as 1.75-inch adjustable plans; neither enters at 1.65 inches. S5523NA-VN's page title conflicts with its repeated 1.75-inch body text; S5525P-VN's maximum-temperature claims conflict. For width and adjustable-heat context, compare the separate S37A10, S9350US, S9511-VN, S5750NA-VN, S5755NA-VN and S25A10A plans; plate and control evidence stays model-specific.
The one-inch width/adjustable set also includes half-inch S37A10, one-inch S9350US/S9511-VN/S5750NA-VN, and wider model-specific plans under the two-inch cap. The S37A10 is corded and adjustable; compare its separate fact and manual evidence rather than transferring its dimensions or controls to a sibling.
Cycle 35 width/heat boundary at 1.0 inch: 31 configurations match adjustable heat, including S5505P-VN and S5503NA; fixed S1303 is excluded. Cycle 34 width/heat boundary: with adjustable heat and a 1.0-inch maximum, the one-inch S9500PP-VN qualifies; two-inch S9531-VN and S9355US are excluded.
