What the finder asks

The hair-straightener finder asks about product preferences such as plate-width limits, heat adjustment, corded versus cordless use, universal-voltage support and cable reach. It does not ask for a name, account, hair photograph or contact information.

When a visitor carries supported finder choices to a central purchase page, the choices are encoded in the browser’s URL fragment. The central page displays the submitted choices separately from its clearly labelled editorial assessment scenario, and offers a return link with those choices. A fragment is user input, not authentication or proof of compatibility. The choices are not sent to Amazon by this matching feature.

The finder does not ask for a name, account, photograph or contact details. When answers are carried between the finder and a central purchase page, they are placed in the URL fragment so the page can show the selected choices and provide a return link. A fragment is ordinary browser input—not authentication or proof that a product is compatible—and the matcher does not send those answers to Amazon. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information into preference choices.

This notice describes the answer-handling behavior built into these pages. It cannot establish what a browser, network, hosting provider or third-party service may log or process outside the page itself; consult the applicable service notices for those details.
